Memorial Day May 4th, 2015 in Tolbert (in The Netherlands)

Message of the “4th of May committee Tolbert”

On May 4th, at 07:15 pm there is a Commemorative Meeting in the church of Tolbert with:

-'Why do we commemorate here in Tolbert every year?'

-story: 'Plane crashed near Noorderweg in Tolbert'

-contributions of pupils of the schools OBS The Beelen and CBS Rainbow.

Then a silent procession to the graves of two airmen (Bolt and Laurens) on the cemetery of Tolbert. Two minutes of silence at 08:00 pm. Then "The Last Post" will be blown and flowers laid.

After reading a poem we let go two white doves as a sign of peace.

During the march-past along the graves all participants can lay flowers. After this, we leave the cemetery and return to the church to see the creations of the pupils.
